What to Eat Less Of

Sugary and acidic foods can erode tooth enamel and cause decay. They’re also responsible for killing bacteria that keep the mouth clean. To avoid gum disease and tooth decay, avoid high-acid and sugary foods like:

  • Lollies – especially chewy lollies that get stuck in the teeth
  • Fizzy drinks
  • Coffee
  • Black tea
  • Wine
  • Lemon and grapefruit juice
  • Sports drinks
  • Pickles

Basic Dental Care for Oral Health
